Sarnia Fine Cars have moved there inventory page to King Cars and it is now a popup page on the King Cars domain. Last review they had inventory on their own site. Moving your inventory page to a service like King Cars is a good way to loose your customers.

I quickly noticed the inventory page that just loaded was on the kingcars.com domain. I quickly edited the sarniafinecars from the http://www.kingcars.com/sarniafinecars/ and I was at King Cars and started looking at their "1000's of Vehicle to Choose From."

Key rule, when you get a customer to your site, whatever you do, don't send them to another site where you can quickly loose them.

They do have their entire inventory on one-liners but they no longer have all their cars on one page. For some reason they are using 2 pages to display them. Also they don't have a back button to get back to the main inventory from either the vehicle detail sheet or the larger pictures.

While some of these points may seem picky, the whole idea here is to get the product in front of the customer, in the shortest path and to make sure that if you have what they are looking for, they don't miss it.

A few extra clicks, another menu or two to go though, are ways that you can hide your product from you prospective customers and loose a sale.

The Two Top Sites & Why

Wilson's Used Cars has their vehicle stock separated into Cars, SUVs, Trucks, and Vans. On Wilson's home page you can click the inventory button on the menu and view the full inventory as one-liners, or there is an icon for each vehicle type.

If you just want to look at the cars, you click the car icon. If you want to look at the trucks, click on the truck icon and so on.

Wilson's inventory detail page also shines. The information and layout of the inventory detail page for Wilson's site has a number of extras.
