Web Site Inventory Page Ratings
I have rated the inventory pages of the 23 auto dealers listed above. The rating that these dealers have received is not a reflection on their whole site. The rating is done on the inventory page only. The ratings are from 1 to 10.
No Vehicles in Stock or Inventory Page is Down:
The first four dealers on the list were rated as 1. This first group is up from three dealers from the January review. To get into this group if you have less than 5 cars in your pre-owned inventory, or have a inventory page that is not functioning.
To be fair if a site is down I notify the dealer, and try again the next day. If it is back up they get re-rated. Lexus of London are still rated at 1. They have got their inventory up from 0 cars to 2. Over all there site is a good site, and although the inventory page is only average if they are not post their used vehicles the page becomes useless.
Auto Trader Display Pages:
The next 5 dealers, which are all either using the linked Auto Trader page or a page of similar design received a rating of 3. The inventory display of the Auto Trader page is very narrow and you can only view five vehicles at one time.
It would be better if the inventory would be all on one page so that the person searching for the vehicle they want would be able to get a quick overview of all the vehicles.
On Toyota Town's site they have 29 vehicles and it take 10 clicks just to see what they have. Having three vehicles per page makes it harder for clients to see what they have in stock.
